Mercury Dimes
1926-S 10C MS64 Full Bands PCGS. This mid-1920s San Francisco issue has a reputation for weak strikes and is scarce with Full Bands. Dies were frequently used well-past their normal life span during this period, as is indicated by the cracks and metal flowlines on the obverse of this piece. The reverse is less eroded, producing the sharp Full Bands detail and suggesting a younger die. Both sides are satiny with light golden toning. Population: 51 in 64 Full Bands, 39 finer (9/17).
