Half Cents
1795 1/2 C Lettered Edge, Punctuated Date, C-2a, B-2a, R.3, AU50 PCGS. Manley Die State 3.0, the usual late die state for this variety. Although a glass reveals a few trivial dents and minuscule marks, the olive-brown surfaces of this piece are quite impressive. Hints of cartwheel luster remain on both sides. The 1795 Lettered Edge, Punctuated Date half cents were the last Lettered Edge half cents struck at the old 104 grain standard. Our EAC grade XF40.
