Large Cents
1793 1C Chain, AMERICA, Periods, S-4, B-5, R.3, Good 6 PCGS. The final Chain cent variety, struck in March 1793, has small periods following the date and LIBERTY that give this variety its name. This piece has pleasing chestnut and olive-brown surfaces, and lacks the corrosion that is found on so many other examples. Trivial rim nicks and scattered marks are evident, with a small concentration of marks at the center of the reverse. Our EAC grade AG3.
