Large Cents
1855 1C Upright 55, N-4, R.1, MS65 Red PCGS. CAC. Grellman Die State a. Two die lumps on the jawline quickly confirm the die pair. This captivating red Gem with an uncracked reverse almost certainly derives from a large hoard. Comparable examples often serve as type coins, and this piece would be well-suited to such purposes. The star radials are incomplete, but the devices are otherwise sharp. Minor carbon and radiant luster appear over each side. Housed in a green label holder. Our EAC grade MS65.
