Buffalo Nickels
1916 5C MS67 PCGS. Struck from fresh dies, there are no signs of granularity or die fatigue on either side of this Superb Gem 1916 Buffalo nickel. A faint aura of peach-gold glows from the sharply struck hair strands, although this nickel is primarily a refreshing and lustrous nickel-gray color. The reverse strike is exceptional, with the bison's eye definition nothing short of mesmerizing and razor-sharp definition on the horn, head, and fur. The tail is round (not flat) and bifurcated at the end. There are no numerically finer examples at PCGS. Population: 26 in 67 (1 in 67+), 0 finer (9/17).
