Early Half Dimes
1795 H10C V-4, LM-10, R.3, AU50 PCGS. LM-10 shows four distinct touch-points that define the obverse die: Star 1 joins curl 2, star 15 joins the bust tip, digit 1 touches the lowest curl, and digit 5 touches the bust truncation. On the reverse, 5 berries left and 5 berries right include no inside berries beneath the wings, and a single outer berry below the left wing. Struck from a lapped obverse die, with only faint remnants of die clashing and spindly stars. The finely granular surfaces display thick, medium-gray patina and reddish-tan toning. Muted luster is offset by nearly mark-free surfaces and no adjustment marks. Housed in a previous generation green label holder.
