Early Half Dollars
1794 50C O-101, T-7, High R.3, VG8 PCGS. Tompkins Die State 1/2. This smoothly worn first-year half displays attractive old album toning with deep, bluish-gray and aquamarine borders around golden-gray fields. The raised devices show contrasting silver-gray patina for added appeal. The rims are full except for the lower-right obverse border, yet the date is fully readable and all of the central motifs are well-outlined. Few marks exist, long softened by wear. Housed in a previous generation green label holder.
