Early Half Dollars
1795 50C 2 Leaves, O-116, T-11, R.4, VF35 PCGS. CAC. Tompkins Die State 2/2. Berries 7 left, 9 right. Numerous obverse die cracks and strong die clashing on both sides add interest to this late die state example of O-116. Deep-blue and gunbarrel-gray toning surrounds light, silver-gray accents on the high points of this attractive Flowing Hair half. The surfaces are smooth and Choice for the VF level. A few adjustment marks angle up from the lower reverse rim, but they are toned-over and softened by wear to be of little visual impact. CAC endorsed for quality and appeal.
