1807 50C Draped Bust, O-103a, T-11, R.3, AU55 PCGS Secure. Tompkins Die State 2/3. The O-103a is a condition rarity in the Draped Bust series, with a single Uncirculated example known and a Condition Census comprised of About Uncirculated pieces underneath that solitary Mint State coin. This still-lustrous example represents the latest die stage with prominent die cracks and die clashing on both sides. Mellow champagne-gold toning with intermittent warm-gray accents confirm the coin's original surfaces. The strike is quite sharp throughout, and only a few thin, light lines in the lower left field are of note.
