Morgan Dollars
1879-CC $1 MS63 PCGS. Normal Mintmark. A lack of silver bullion at the Carson City Mint limited production to just 756,000 silver dollars in 1879 -- a fact that collectors and speculators noticed early on. Relatively few pieces (4,123 coins) appeared in the GSA Morgan dollar distributions, adding to the notable scarcity. This brilliant silver-white Select Uncirculated example displays a sharp strike and strong cartwheel luster. Only minor luster grazes and a bit of field chatter determine the assigned grade. Housed in an old blue-label holder with the barcode on the back.
