1903-S $1 MS62 NGC. The 1903-S is a scarce issue in Uncirculated grades and is a major rarity with a Prooflike designation. This lightly abraded coin is brilliant and reflective, although the depth of mirroring is just shy of qualifying for NGC's Prooflike grade. Well-struck design elements further enhance the visual appeal. The 1903-S comes from a small 20th century mintage of little more than 1.2 million pieces. The present coin is visually far finer than most of its peers, in our experience.
