Indian Eagles
1914-S $10 MS63 PCGS. The 1914-S Indian eagle is significantly scarcer in Mint State than its mintage of 208,000 coins would suggest. A substantial population in XF and AU grades indicates that this issue actually circulated, which is consistent with the West Coast economy in the early 20th century. This MS63 coin is in a collectible grade but displays eye appeal that rivals higher-grade coins that we have seen. Light handling marks on the cheek are only noticed under a loupe, and the wheat-gold, satiny surfaces are otherwise almost unabraded. Finer coins are increasingly scarce.
