1876-CC $20 AU55+ NGC. Variety 3-A. Much of the original prooflike surface remains on this high-end, Choice 1876-CC twenty. Not only is the issue scarce in Choice About Uncirculated condition or finer, it is almost always found heavily abraded. The present example is a welcome exception, with only minor field marks and light chatter. Rich, sun-gold color retains most of the original mint luster. Some smooth wear on the upper hair strands suggests brief circulation.
