A small mintage of 27,265 Liberty double eagles was accomplished at the Carson City Mint in 1892, but the issue's availability is relatively high today, thanks to several hoards that have surfaced in recent times. This Choice AU specimen shows just a trace of wear on the sharply detailed design elements, and the lustrous surfaces are lightly abraded throughout.
