1871-CC 50C Repunched Date, WB-102, Die Pair 4, Fine 15 NGC. Original pewter-gray surfaces show relatively smooth fields and good remaining detail. The L and TY in LIBERTY are clear. Die diagnostics are faint on this moderately worn example, although date and mintmark placement confirm the attribution. The faint repunching on the 71 in the date is no longer visible in this grade.
