1798 $1 Large Eagle, Pointed 9, 10 Arrows, B-13, BB-108, R.2, Fine 12 NGC. Bowers Die State II. A heavy die crack extends downward from the rim near the L in LIBERTY. This Heraldic Eagle type coin is evenly struck, but the reverse die is slightly out of alignment toward 4 o'clock. Remnants of deep adjustment marks are visible on the Liberty portrait. Both sides display pleasing gunmetal-gray patina and smooth fields.
