Morgan Dollars
1889-CC $1 XF45 NGC. This untoned example displays moderately glowing fields and devices that are only lightly rubbed over the higher points of the design. Scattered small to moderate abrasions are typical for a frontier-era silver dollar that saw circulation, but we can find no singularly mentionable blemishes. Only 350,000 Morgan dollars emerged from the Carson City Mint in 1889, and the issue has long been considered a key date.
Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 9/2005), lot 5882.
