1896 $1 MS67 NGC. From a mintage approaching 10 million pieces, the 1896 Morgan can be located through Gem, and to some degree even Premium Gem, with little trouble. MS67s are challenging, and higher-grade coins are virtually unobtainable. Intense luster emanates from the impeccably preserved silver-white surfaces that exhibit sharply struck motifs. NGC has graded five numerically finer examples (9/17).
