Commemorative Silver
1928 50C Hawaiian MS65 PCGS. CAC. Struck to commemorate the "discovery" of the Hawaiian Islands by Captain James Cook in 1778, only 9,958 pieces were struck of this well-designed and popular half dollar. Many pieces are found with dull surfaces, but this is an especially bright and vibrant example. The interiors show just the slightest hint of color, with rich golden and blue peripheral toning around the obverse. Attractive and unquestionably high-end.
