1956 MS Round Hallmark San Francisco Silver Ingot. 18.45 Ounces. This ingot has a strong, even hallmark impression. The hallmark is centered at the top of the ingot, followed by ingot number 546 / 18.45 OZS / 999.75 FINE. The lot number 249 is found on the upper edge, one of the two lot numbers (the other being 164) that 1956 Round Dated ingots are found in. These were produced during the transition of the Type Two Oval Hallmark to the Round Dated Hallmark, as the ingot number range is included in both types. A well laid-out ingot and also original with medium gray patina over all sides. The ingot measures 57 x 90 mm.
