1880 $2 1/2 MS62 Prooflike NGC. Only 2,960 circulation strikes were produced of the 1880 quarter eagle. That mintage is so small that it is probable that the initial die polish never diminished, even on the final coin struck. This is a brightly reflective example that also has even reddish-gold color and fully struck devices. Census: 1 in 62 Prooflike, 1 finer (9/17).
