1871 $20 XF45 NGC. The 1871 Liberty double eagle is a low-mintage Philadelphia issue and high-grade examples are quite elusive. The yellow and greenish-gold surfaces of this Choice XF specimen retain traces of original mint luster, despite a large number of insignificant, minor abrasions. Only light wear is evident on the design elements.
