Liberty Double Eagles
1901 $20 MS65 PCGS. While scattered abrasions can be seen in the fields of this piece, its surfaces are on the whole smooth and clean, with a satisfying luster giving the coin strong eye appeal. Despite a mintage of only 111,430 pieces, these remain fairly available even in Gem Uncirculated. It is notable, however, that PCGS has graded only four examples finer than this, and NGC has graded none finer (9/17).
