UNITED STATES. George Washington. Birth Centennial. 1832. Medal (appears silver; noted as tin by Baker). 15.62 gm. 32 mm. An eagle in flight holding a beaded medallion with a bust of Washington; a banner reading PATRIAE PATER / Legend in eleven lines: STRUCK & DISTRIBUTED IN CIVIC PROCESSION FEBRY 22nd 1832...PHILAD. GW (Musante) 130 (listed as white metal; Very Scarce). Baker 160. Good Extremely Fine; attractively toned with lustrous underlying surfaces; neatly holed.

Musante notes: "Fewer than 100 are estimated to have survived." The design was restruck but Musante citing Baker notes that the restrikes show "the reverse to be badly cracked."
