INDIA, Kushan Empire. Kanishka I. Circa AD 127/8-152. Æ Didrachm (23mm, 8.51 g, 12h). Main mint in Kapisha (Begram?). Early phase. Kanishka standing left, holding goad and standard, sacrificing over altar; flame at shoulder / Nana standing right, holding scepter and box; tamgha to right. MK 767; ANS Kushan 403-8; Donum Burns 146-7; AICR 1191 (this coin illustrated). VF, dusty dark green patina, a few cleaning marks and hint of smoothing in field.
