LOMBARDS, Lombardy. Uncertain king. Circa 568-690. AV Tremissis (17mm, 1.47 g, 6h). Imitating a Constantinople mint issue of the Byzantine emperor Justinian I. P N IVSTNI ΛNVS P P ΛVC, pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right / VICTOIIΛ ΛVCVITOHVN, Victory advancing right, head left, holding wreath in right hand and globus cruciger in left; star in right field; COHOB. Cf. Arslan 1 (for type); BMC Vandals –; cf. MEC 1, 294 (same); NAC 88, lot 528 (same obv. die) . Good VF, light S graffito in obverse field, slightly wavy flan.
