ROM ET AVG Front elevation of the Altar of Lugdunum, decorated with the corona civica between laurels and stylized figures; altar flanked by columns surmounted by statues of Victory standing vis-à-vis, each holding a palm frond with her right hand and wreath in her left. The 'Altar of Lugdunum' depicted on this coin was dedicated in 12 BC to Roma and Augustus. It was located in the famous sanctuary of the Tres Galliae in Lugdunum.
