Constantius II, 337-361. Solidus (Gold, 21 mm, 4.50 g, 5 h), Antiochia, 337-347. FL IVL CONSTAN-TIVS PERP AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantius II to rihgt. Rev. VICTRIA (sic!) AVGVSTORVM / SMANΓ Victory seated right on cuirass, supporting on her left knee a shield, which she inscribes VOT VX (sic!) MVLT XX; behind cuirass, shield; before, small winged genius standing left, supporting the shield with both hands. Depeyrot 5/3. RIC 25. Rare. Minor traces of mounting and minor scratches, otherwise, good very fine.
This is an interesting example with two engraver errors on the reverse. The legend reads VICTRIA instead of VICTORIA, and the shield is inscribed VOT VX instead of VOT XV.
