Anonymous. AR Sestertius, probably Sicilian mint, after 211 BC. Obv. Helmeted head of Roma right; behind, ⠭S. Rev. The Dioscuri galloping right; below, ROMA in linear frame. Cr. 44/7 var. AR. g. 0.89 mm. 13.00 RRR. good VF.

Only the second specimen known. Struck by an unfinished obverse die. The engraver omitted to join the ending dots, which are the first step of the II engraving. This engraver's mistake occurs only on this die and is known on another specimen (Meister und Sonntag 5, 93).
