Plautilla, wife of Caracalla (died 212 AD). AR Denarius, Rome mint. Obv. PLAVTILLA AVGVSTA. Draped bust right, hair waved and drawn down on neck. Rev. VENVS VICTRIX. Venus, bare to waist, standing left, holding apple and palm, and resting left elbow on shield: at her feet, Cupid. RIC 369. C. 25. AR. g. 3.64 mm. 20.50 R. Rare. Good metal, full weight and broad flan. In excellent condition for the issue. Lightly toned. EF.
