Constantine I (307-337). AE Medallion. Obv. CONSTANTINVS MAX AVG. Diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev. SECVRITAS AVGVSTI N. Securitas, draped, standing facing, head right, legs crossed, right arm raised over her head, holding sceptre and resting left arm on column; on either side, captive seated on ground, in attitude of mourning. Gnecchi vol. II pp. 134-5, n.9 and Tav. 130, n°7. C. 493 (Fr. 200). AE. g. 30.67 mm. 38.00 RRR. Extremely rare and impressive. Slight roughness and minor cleaning marks. Brown patina with reddish spot on obverse and significant traces of original gilding. About VF/VF.
