Malaya Board of Commissioners of Currency $1000 1.1.1942 (1945) Pick 16. The 1942 Malayan issue included notes up to the $1000 denomination. Survivors are few considering how much buying power these notes had in the 1940s. The last example of this denomination to sell at auction was a nearly identical grade, PMG 35 Net, and realized more than $21,000 as part of an auction just a few months ago.
