SWEDEN. Karl X Gustav, 1655-60. Riksdaler 1654, Stockholm. 28.77 g. Mintage 3,877. SM 14a; JH 219; NJL 28; Dav 4528. Karl X Gustav is famous for crossing the Great Belt in 1658 which brought Swedish control in the Baltic sea to its zenith. He died in 1660 after reigning only 6 years. The coin on offer is problem-free with an even wear and very attractive toning. Very fine, reverse better with some retained lustre.
