SWEDEN. Karl XII, 1697-1718. Riksdaler 1707, Stockholm. 29.27 g. Ahlstrom 27; KM# 336; Dav-1714. Type II, bare head. As opposed to the first, 'wig head' type, here Karl XII, the 'Warring king', is shown in a natural style, the hair rather looking as if the helmet has just been removed after battle. Despite some old, heavy contact marks, smoothed by wear, on and around the king's face, the coin is pleasant with an attractive blue-grey toning. Two planchet flaws on either side can best be seen from the reverse. Slightly better than very fine.
