Republic Yuan Shih-kai Mint Error Dollar ND (1914) AU55 NGC, KM-Y322, L&M-858. Double Struck Error. Attractively preserved with a visible double strike, the portrait of Yuan Shih-kai appearing slightly doubled with more dramatic doubling showing at the borders where two sets of pearl beads are observed. Because of the multiple strikes, the detail is impressively crisp throughout, and the rims, especially around 12 o'clock, rise prominently from the fields. As an error, rarely encountered on larger issues, and as a result, a coin that will surely entice the specialist.
