Hong Kong
British Colony. Victoria 1/2 Dollar 1866 MS63 PCGS, KM8. Very rare quality for this key date, preserved without any trace of tone and surfaces that are not only nearly free of flaws, but possess fields that gleam with subtle and alluring reflectivity. Closer inspection yields many of the die characteristics commonly encountered on the date, with gaps in portions of the maze-like ornamental edges as well as blended die rust over Victoria's neck. Altogether pleasing, this coin is only surpassed in grade by two coins at PCGS (none have been graded higher than MS62 at NGC). An offering of seldom-paralleled collectible importance as such!
