CILICIA. Tarsos. Tarkumuwa (Datames), satrap of Cilicia and Cappadocia, 384-361/0 BC. Stater (Silver, 21 mm, 10.87 g, 11 h). B'LTRZ Baaltars seated to right on throne, holding bunch of grapes and grain ear in his left hand and eagle-tipped sceptre with his right; to right thymiaterion; all within crenelated wall . Rev. TRDMW On the left, Ana, nude, standing right facing Datames, on the right standing left; both have their right arms raised; between them, thymiaterion; to right of Datames, inscription; all within square square flat-roofed shrine or tent. SNG Levante 84. SNG von Aulock 5945. Sharp and clear; rare with the inscription on the right field. About extremely fine.
