SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos VII Euergetes (Sidetes), 138-129 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 14.14 g, 12 h), Tyre, 175 = 138-137 . Diademed and draped bust of Antiochos VII to right. Rev. ANTIOXOY BAΣIΛEΩΣ Eagle, with palm frond behind, standing left on prow; to left, club surmounted by Tyre monogram; to right, date EOP below monogram of AΣY; inner left, monogram of IEPA; between eagle's legs Δω. SC 2109.3b. A rare variety, lightly toned. Surface hairline on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
