Diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, wearing aegis around his neck; within his hair behind his ear, tiny letter Δ. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ Eagle, with closed wings, standing left on thunderbolt; to left, Ρ above monogram of ΠΑΡ. Noeske 41-42. SNG Copenhagen 70-71. Svoronos 255. Clear and attractive, with a powerful portrait of Ptolemy. Small countermark on the obverse and a graffito of H on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
