SICILY. Syracuse. Hieron II, 275-215 BC. (Bronze, 26 mm, 17.68 g, 9 h). Diademed head of Hieron II to left. Rev. ΙΕΡΩΝΟΣ Helmeted cavalryman, holding lance, on horse to right; below right, N. CNS II, 195. SNG ANS 924. With a fine portrait of excellent Hellenistic style. Some corrosion and smoothing, otherwise, good very fine.
