Thessaly, Larissa Æ Chalkous. Late 4th-early 3rd centuries BC. Head of the nymph Larissa right, her hair rolled up around and tied above her head, wearing pendant earring and plain necklace / Horse standing left, about to roll; ΛΑΡΙΣ above, AΙΩΝ below. BCD Thessaly II 392.3 (same dies). 1.78g, 13mm, 6h.

Good Very Fine. Attractive dark green patina.

The cataloguer of BCD Thessaly II noted the unusual style of this obv. die, likening it to Histiaian bronzes.
