Seleukid Empire, Antiochos Hierax AR Tetradrachm. Lampsakos, circa 242(?)-227 BC. Diademed head right / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ANTIOXOY, Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding bow, with left hand resting on omphalos; monogram and female head left in exergue. Very Fine. Some spots of corrosion, scattered marks. Toned, lustrous metal.
Seemingly unpublished with this reverse control symbol, the present tetradrachm is also one of the very few that show Apollo holding the bow in front of his body, merely resting his left hand on the omphalos behind him for support.
