Cyprus Government 5 Pounds dated 1st June 1955 SPECIMEN series A/1 000000, (Pick36s), portrait Queen Elizabeth II at right, in PMG holder graded 66EPQ Gem Uncirculated, Exceptional Paper Quality. The 5 Pounds of the QE11 issue is almost impossible to find in UNC, whether in specimen or issued format, this is confirmed and stated by Alexis Galatariotis in his recent QE11 article published in IBNS. The 1955 specimen issue is the first specimen issue printed and sent to various commonwealth countries to familiarise them with design and the notes of the time. These were printed in very small quantities as they were not distributed to many central banks. These specimens are now seldom found, and when they are they either have glue residuals, or are not unc. The PMG population list points to a couple in 66 condition, so this is a very unique opportunity to acquire one
