[AVT K] T AIΛI ∆P (sic) ANTωNINOC [CЄB], laureate bust right, slight drapery / Winged caduceus; L I Z (date) across field. Köln –; Dattari (Savio) 8878 var. (obv. bust type); K&G 35.623 var. (obv. bust type and legend); Emmett 1739.17 (R5); Staffieri, Alexandria In Nummis 131 (this coin). Good VF, dark brown patina with touches of green and red. Extremely rare type.

While not a rare type in general, it is rare for Antoninus Pius on a diobol. According to Emmett, he issued it for his regnal years 12, 13, 16, 17, and 18, and Emmett gives all five of these years an R5 rarity rating.
