Watch List notes:

ISLANDS off IONIA, Samos. Circa 530-528 BC. AR Hekte – Sixth Stater (13mm, 2.76 g). Euboic standard. Facing lion scalp / Incuse square. Barron 2 (same die and punch); HGC 6, 1176; BMC 10 (same die and punch). Good VF, toned, slightly granular surfaces, small mark on reverse. Very rare first silver issue of Samos, only 5 known to Barron (four of which are in museums), two in CoinArchives.
