ANGLO-SAXON, Secondary Sceattas. Circa 725-745. AR Sceatt (11.5mm, 1.10 g, 7h). Series QIE/QIID mule. Mint in East Anglia (Ely?). Diademed and draped bust right; cross to right, pellets around / Quadruped advancing left; pellets around. Abramson 63.60 (same dies as illustration); Metcalf –; SCBI 63 (BM), 614 (same dies); North –; cf. SCBC 808A/809. Good VF, toned.
