ANGLO-SAXON, Secondary Sceattas. Circa 725-745. AR Sceatt (12mm, 0.91 g, 7h). Series QIID variety. Uncertain mint in East Anglia (Ely?). Quadruped stepping left, with trefoil tail; pellets around / Bird, with forked wing, standing left, trampling serpent; cross to left, pellets around. Abramson 64.110; Metcalf 495; SCBI –; North –; cf. SCBC 809. Good VF, toned. Rare.
