NEUCHÂTEL/NEUENBURG: AE shooting medal (88.77g), ND (1926), Richter-1003b, 60mm silvered bronze medal for the Neuchâtel Cantonal Shooting Festival by Huguenin, arms amongst laurel branches with SOCIÉTÉ CANTONALE NEUCHÂTELOISE DE TIR around and MÉDAILLE / D' HONNEUR / (engraved) ANDRIST R. / 50 m. directly above // medieval knights swordfighting with steepled buildings at right and radiant sun above, no real wear detected, but small spots where the silvering is missing, matte finish, plain edge, Choice AU, ex Mike Edwards Collection. The design on these medals was used at several festivals beginning in 1926 and ending in 1947.
