ANGOLA: nickel 50 centavos, 1923, KM-65var, uniface of the obverse, PCGS graded Specimen 62, RRRR. Unique, not listed in any of the standard reference catalogs - Alberto Gomes mentions an obverse uniface piece of this type, but in aluminum, not nickel. The standard type of KM-65 is listed as nickel (KM and Gomes), called cupro-nickel on the slab, which is possible for this trial piece, as both the 10 and 20 centavos of this type dated 1921-1923 are cupro-nickel.
Estimate: 1,400-1,800 USD
