SALDUQIDS: Diya' al-Din Ghazi, 1116-1132, AE fals (4.74g), NM, ND, A-C1890, St. George slaying the dragon, stylistically engraved, citing the Seluq overlord Mahmud II (only by the laqab mughith al-din), VF, RRR. Interesting variety, with St. George on horseback, holding a long cross in his right hand, and his weapon in the left hand, not yet aimed for the dragon, which is crudely represented below the horse. All and all, this is the finest example we have seen.
